Yes, I know, this is not the first place in France you would think of to go on vacation!
It is true that the North of France is known for having quite bad weather… CLICHÉ.
The time I went there, the weather was quite nice, even VERY nice.
But what can we do in Dunkirk?
A bit of history
Bounded by the sea, Dunkirk is a city steeped in history. During the Second World War, Operation Dynamo was the evacuation of Allied soldiers during the Second World War from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, in the north of France, between 26 May and 4 June 1940.
Places to visit in Dunkirk
There are many museums, especially about war which are really interesting and the entrance is really cheap, especially if you are a student or if you are under 25 years old. The average price of these museums is €8
What is rather practical is that the buses are totally FREE, so it is easy to get around, because the buses serve a lot of places (even Belgium 😉).
If you guys want to relax, there is a place that I recommend to you.. The name of this place is "Le SPA Cocoon". This is a charming place with nice esthetician. When I went there, I decided to relax for 1 hour with jacuzzi and sauna and it just cost me 35 euros. Ideal for relaxing after many visits. In addition, some sweets and tea are offered to you.
